Midpines Designs was never really supposed to be.

A mention, on a whim, to my partner that I was interested in stained glass has become something so much more. A very generous gift of lessons from the legendary David Kittrell of Kittrell Riffkind Art Glass Studio turned into a second round of classes. A casual try at a hobby suddenly became an every night and every weekend obsession - scouring the internet for potential patterns and ideas, joining lots of groups for inspiration, reading about the latest new supplies and the old favorites that artists just couldn’t do without. I couldn’t get enough.

Fast forward a year, and my little shop was bursting at the seams with supplies, sheet glass, bevels, patterns, and of course, my own creations. My windows in my home were getting quite full. With guidance and support from my fellow female entrepreneurs, I decided to forge out to see if anyone would be interested in my glass art. I almost sold out at my very first market, which left me overwhelmed. So here goes nothing - trying to pass along the lessons and guidance I’ve learned, and keep this spark alive.
